Elly simonich & khalil sabra
Khalil and Elly have a mutual passion for fitness, community and their versions of healthy living. They are so grateful for whatever forces brought them together from many miles apart - Khalil grew up in Beirut, Lebanon and Elly in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. Khalil has a background in business, fitness and has been a group fitness instructor for almost 10 years - varying from weight training, cycling and now barre! Elly is a registered nurse and barre instructor whose passion for Barre District stems from the “all-inclusive” atmosphere she feels in every class, where each and every kind of person is celebrated for exactly who they are.
When they're not at the studio you can find them exploring their new Pewaukee community, eating Indian food followed by ice cream, or spending time with family, friends and official studio dog Coda!
Emily has always been a particularly active person. She has a background in martial arts and has a love-hate relationship with running. It wasn't until she found barre that she fell in love with a workout. Barre District is a community that has taught her to respect and love her body. She feels it's the workout that pushes you and shows how strong and capable you really are. Barre has been an escape from past insecurities, current stress and has been an overall support system for her. She can't wait to share what she has learned over these years as a barre bestie!
Kris’ days are spent working in the Medical Software field and her nights are at the BARRE! Whether it is exercise or sports, Kris has always lived an active lifestyle. After being diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, she struggled to find a workout that would be beneficial to her new lifestyle AND keep her in great shape. Then, she found BARRE! Kris' unique approach to physical fitness incorporates health as a whole...she promotes Strong NOT Skinny :)
Besides BARRE, you can find Kris enjoying time with her two beautiful daughters, being adventurous, traveling, attending sporting events, or sipping some wine.
Tamara is a high school social studies teacher and looks to exercise as an outlet to clear her head, manage stress, and live a balanced and healthy lifestyle. While running is always a go to, Tamara found that nothing centers her mind and soul quite the way barre does. Since taking her first barre class several years ago, Tamara has loved how that 55 minutes, just for her, challenges and strengthens her body and leaves her feeling empowered and refreshed. Tamara is so excited to join the Barre District LC team and to help others find that escape in their day to do something positive for themselves.
When she's not teaching or at the barre, Tamara enjoys spending time with her fiance, Jake, and family, sipping a nice glass of wine, getting lost in reality TV drama, and watching everything Wisconsin sports.
Lindsay, a runner at heart, fell in love with barre a few years ago while trying to maintain a fit pregnancy. As momma bear to three littles by day, and labor and delivery nurse by night, she uses group fitness as a time to recharge her battery with some self-love. Lindsay's approach to fitness is to remember comparison can be the thief of joy. After learning to love and embrace her new body following three pregnancies, she wants her classes to be proud of their OWN success! Lindsay has previous experience as a pilates instructor, and is so thrilled at the opportunity to teach barre. She can't wait to wake up with the early birds!
When she’s not sweating at the studio, you may find her watching the Bachelor (don’t judge) with a glass of red wine or attending concerts. She loves Wisconsin summers where she can be out on a lake paddleboarding, kayaking, swimming, and enjoying time with her family.
